A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered 2.2-2001.2, relating to the Department of Veterans Services; veterans identification card; discount on admission to state-operated attractions.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 2.2-2001.2 as follows:

§2.2-2001.2. Veterans identification card; discounted admission to certain state-operated attractions.

A Virginia veteran who presents a valid veterans identification card issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles shall be entitled to receive a 50 percent discount on the admission fee for all state-operated attractions. The discounted admission fee shall apply to the card holder and up to 5 persons accompanying the card holder to such attraction.

The Department to publish on its website an annually updated list of state-operated attractions.
