A BILL to direct the Board of Education to include in its regulations a provision permitting active duty members of the Armed Forces of the United States to apply for the Child Care Subsidy Program.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. §1. That the Board of Education shall amend its regulations in 8VAC20-790 of the Virginia Administrative Code to permit all active duty members of the Armed Forces of the United States who serve as caregivers to dependents to apply for the Child Care Subsidy Program. The Board of Education shall promulgate regulations to implement the provisions of this act to be effective within 280 days of its enactment.
