14.
SECURITY OF PUBLIC
PROPERTY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Title 9.1 a chapter numbered 14, consisting of a section numbered 9.1-1400, as follows:
§9.1-1400. Security of public property.
Any property owned by the Commonwealth or any political subdivision of the Commonwealth, or used by a public body as defined in §2.2-4115, where firearms have been prohibited by law shall have law-enforcement officers, as defined in §9.1-101, or armed security officers, licensed pursuant to Article 4 (§9.1-138 et seq.) of Chapter 1, on the premises of such property to provide security services.
