WHEREAS, the Rappahannock High School girls' tennis team of Warsaw won the Virginia High School League Class 1 state championship on June 6, 2024, at Liberty University in Lynchburg; and
WHEREAS, the Rappahannock High School Raiders defeated the George Wythe High School Maroons of Wytheville by a score of 5–0 to bring home the program's second consecutive state championship title; and
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of the Rappahannock Raiders are the result of the hard work and dedication of the student-athletes, the leadership and guidance of their coaches and teachers, and the unwavering support of their families and the entire Rappahannock High School community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Rappahannock High School girls' tennis team hereby be commended for winning the 2024 Virginia High School League Class 1 state championship; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Rappahannock High School girls' tennis team as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the team's achievement.
