WHEREAS, Jeffrey Todd Girardi, a beloved son, brother, and friend in Richmond, died on January 10, 2024; and
WHEREAS, Jeffrey "Jeff" Girardi was a graduate of Longwood University, from which he earned a bachelor's degree in history; and
WHEREAS, Jeff Girardi previously served and safeguarded his fellow members of the community as a law-enforcement officer with the Richmond City Sheriff's Office; and
WHEREAS, more recently, Jeff Girardi was known for collecting and authenticating American historical artifacts; and
WHEREAS, Jeff Girardi was also a skilled artisan who had an extensive knowledge of metal aging; and
WHEREAS, Jeff Girardi will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his parents, Janet and John; his sister, Lisa; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby note with great sadness the loss of Jeffrey Todd Girardi, a talented member of the Richmond community; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Jeffrey Todd Girardi as an expression of the House of Delegates' respect for his memory.
