WHEREAS, the Churchville Ruritan Club, a local chapter of Ruritan National, Inc., dedicated to bettering its community through fellowship, goodwill, and service, celebrates its 80th anniversary in 2024; and
WHEREAS, chartered in 1944, the Churchville Ruritan Club primarily works to improve the quality of life in its community through its five main service areas, including business and professions, citizenship and patriotism, environment, public service, and social development; and
WHEREAS, the various activities and initiatives of the Churchville Ruritan Club serve to nurture the education of young people, fight hunger, assist veterans, the elderly, and others in need, beautify the region, promote patriotism and pride in the community, and more; and
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of the Churchville Ruritan Club are the result of the unwavering commitment of the organization's volunteer members, who have helped to make Churchville a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend the Churchville Ruritan Club for its legacy of service on the occasion of its 80th anniversary; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Churchville Ruritan Club as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for the organization's contributions to Churchville and the Commonwealth.
