HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 147
Commending the Loudoun Impact Fund.

WHEREAS, the Loudoun Impact Fund donated $116,000 in grants to 15 local nonprofit organizations in 2023, crossing an incredible milestone of more than $1 million in total donations since the establishment of the fund in 2014; and

WHEREAS, the Loudoun Impact Fund provides an opportunity for individuals and businesses to fund grants that are administered through a partnership between the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia and the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties; and

WHEREAS, in 2023, 64 individuals and businesses donated funds, then reviewed grant proposals from local organizations that offer support services for at-risk youths, seniors, people with disabilities, and low-income families; and

WHEREAS, the 2023 recipients of Loudoun Impact Fund grants were A Farm Less Ordinary, All Ages Read Together, A Place To Be, Crossroads Jobs, Dulles South Food Pantry, Insight Memory Care Center, Legacy Farms, Loudoun Cares, Loudoun Hunger Relief, Loudoun Literacy Council, Loudoun Serenity House, Loudoun Volunteer Caregivers, Ryan Bartel Foundation, The Arc of Loudoun, and Women Giving Back; and

WHEREAS, through the generosity of the individual and corporate members of its giving circle, the Loudoun Impact Fund has significantly enhanced the quality of life in the region; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend the Loudoun Impact Fund for donating more than $1 million in grants to worthy businesses over the course of its history; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Loudoun Impact Fund as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for the fund's vital role in supporting nonprofit organizations in Loudoun County.
