A BILL to amend and reenact §18.2-414.1 of the Code of
Virginia, relating to obstructing emergency medical services agency personnel
in performance of mission; penalty.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That §18.2-414.1 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:
§18.2-414.1. Obstructing emergency medical services agency personnel in performance of mission; penalty.
Any person who unreasonably or unnecessarily obstructs the
delivery of emergency medical services by emergency medical services agency
personnel, whether governmental, private, or volunteer, or who fails or refuses
to cease such obstruction or move on when requested to do so by emergency
medical services personnel going to or at the site at which emergency medical
services are required is guilty of a Class 2
1 misdemeanor.
