Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. §1. The Department of Transportation shall propose to the Federal Highway Administration and the Special Committee on U.S. Route Numbering of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials a plan to renumber and reroute U.S. Route 60 as follows:

1. U.S. Route 60 shall run concurrently with Interstate 64 from Exit 50 (Lexington/Kerr's Creek) to Exit 55 (Lexington/Virginia Horse Center) and concurrently with U.S. Route 11 from Exit 55 (Lexington/Virginia Horse Center) of Interstate 64 to the intersection with existing U.S. Route 60 in downtown Lexington.

2. That portion of existing U.S. Route 60 between Exit 50 (Lexington/Kerr's Creek) of Interstate 64 to the intersection with U.S. Route 11 shall be renamed U.S. Route 850.
