A BILL to direct the Office of the Executive Secretary of the Supreme Court of Virginia to require that juvenile and domestic relations district court judges receive training on the law related to the rights of persons of legitimate interest in child custody and visitation proceedings.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. §1. The Office of the Executive Secretary of the Supreme Court of Virginia shall require that all juvenile and domestic relations district court judges receive training on the law related to the rights of grandparents and other persons of legitimate interest in child custody and visitation proceedings. Such training shall take place at least once during each six-year judicial term.
