A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section
numbered 23.1-405.1, relating to immigration enforcement at public institutions
of higher education.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 23.1-405.1 as follows:
§23.1-405.1. Immigration enforcement on campus.
The governing board and each employee of each public institution of higher education shall cooperate in the enforcement of federal law by U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement on the institution's campus, in any noncampus building or property, and on public property, as such terms are defined in §23.1-806.
