Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That §16.1-69.35:2 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:

§16.1-69.35:2. Recording of proceedings in district courts.

Proceedings in a general district court may be tape recorded by a party or his counsel.
