Summary

Study; distribution of state funds to community services boards; report. Requests the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services to study the funding formula used to distribute resources to community services boards. In conducting its study, the Department shall (i) review the various programs and services being provided by community services boards across the state, including any voluntary or pilot programs, and how such programs and services are funded, (ii) examine the effectiveness of the current formula in adequately funding such programs and services, and (iii) consider the most effective use of limited funds in providing the most essential services through the community services boards to meet the needs of citizens of the Commonwealth.
