Summary

Tow truck drivers; criminal history. Authorizes the Department of Criminal Justice Services, at its discretion, to issue a tow truck driver registration to a person who was convicted of a violent crime or a crime involving the driving of a tow truck provided that such conviction occurred more than 15 years prior to the date of application. The bill does not change the existing prohibition on issuing a tow truck driver registration to a person required to register as a sex offender.
