Summary

A resolution amending rule XXII of the Standing Rules of the Senate to revise the number of affirmative votes required to end debate on nominations. Amends Rule XXII (Precedence of Motions) of the Standing Rules of the Senate with respect to the number of affirmative votes required to end debate (pursuant to a cloture motion) for nominations on the Executive Calendar. Requires the question of voting on a cloture motion in the case of a nomination to be decided in the affirmative by a majority vote by the Senators.
