Summary

A joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Environmental Protection Agency relating to Cross-State Air Pollution Rule Update for the 2008 Ozone NAAQS. This joint resolution nullifies the Cross-State Air Pollution Rule Update finalized by the Environmental Protection Agency on October 26, 2016. The rule addresses interstate transport of ozone pollution with respect to the 2008 ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards under the Clean Air Act.
