Summary

Recognizes the 40th anniversary of title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in federally funded education programs or activities) as landmark legislation that has: (1) allowed women to realize intellectual, cultural, and athletic opportunities throughout the United States; and (2) contributed to the overall health and well-being of women and to the advancement of women in every field including athletics, business, science, and technology.
