Summary

Appalachian Veterans Outreach Improvement Act - Directs the Secretary of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Appalachian Regional Commission to carry out a program of outreach to veterans who reside in the Appalachian region in order to increase their awareness, access, and use of federal, state, and local programs providing compensation and other benefits available as a result of service in the Armed Forces. Authorizes: (1) the Secretary to enter into agreements with federal and state agencies to carry out projects under such program; and (2) the Commission to provide technical assistance, award grants, enter into contracts, and otherwise provide amounts to persons and entities in that region for such projects and activities.
