Summary
Directs the Secretary of Defense (DOD) and the Secretary of Veterans Affairs (VA) to submit, at least annually until January 1, 2021, separate reports to Congress on the operation of the educational assistance program with respect to members of the Armed Forces whose service commenced on or after September 11, 2001. Requires the reports to include information concerning the utilization of benefits, as well as how benefit levels affect recruitment and retention. Repeals reporting requirements concerning the all-volunteer force educational assistance program.
Title
To amend title 38, United States Code, to direct the Secretary of Veterans Affairs and the Secretary of Defense to submit to Congress annual reports on the Post-9/11 Educational Assistance Program, and for other purposes.
