Summary

ATF Wrongful Reclassification Act Amends the federal criminal code to modify the definition of "armor piercing ammunition" for purposes of federal firearms provisions to: (1) include a projectile or projectile core that is designed and intended by the manufacturer solely for use in a handgun (currently, a projectile that may be used in a handgun); and (2) exclude a projectile that is primarily intended by the manufacturer to be used for lawful purposes (currently, a projectile that the Attorney General finds is primarily intended to be used for sporting purposes).
