Summary
Removes the requirement that the person detailed as Chief of the Navy Dental Corps be of a rank not less than rear admiral (lower half) at the time of the detail. Requires an appointee to such position holding a lower grade to be appointed in the regular grade of rear admiral.
Title
To amend title 10, United States Code, to specify the minimum rank requirement for officer serving as Chief of the Navy Dental Corps to correspond to Army and Air Force requirements for the heads of their dental corps.
