| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize one of our fine young citizens, Sophie Redwine Susser, | ||
| on the auspicious occasion of her Bat Mitzvah; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Family and friends are gathering at Congregation | ||
| Beth Israel in Corpus Christi on May 14, 2011, to join Sophie in | ||
| celebrating her being called to the Torah; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The daughter of Catherine and Sam L. Susser, | ||
| Sophie is an exemplary student who has worked diligently to | ||
| prepare for her passage into adulthood in the Jewish faith; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Intelligent, hardworking, and ambitious, Sophie | ||
| has fulfilled her parents' wishes for her spiritual growth, | ||
| education, and well-being; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Striving for excellence in all of her endeavors, | ||
| Sophie is a source of great pride for her family, her friends, and | ||
| her congregation; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd | ||
| Legislature, hereby congratulate Sophie Redwine Susser on her | ||
| Bat Mitzvah and extend to her best wishes for the future; and, be | ||
| it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| Miss Susser as a memento of this special day in her life. | ||
