SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 947
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Carlos Cisneros Lucio Jr. on the auspicious occasion of
his graduation from Veterans Memorial Early College High School
on June 9, 2017; and
WHEREAS, Talented and hardworking, Carlos is a respected
and well-liked student and an exemplary young man who strives for
excellence in all his endeavors; and
WHEREAS, Carlos balanced his rigorous advanced-placement
course load while participating in numerous extracurricular
activities, and he served in leadership positions for several
student organizations; he is graduating in the top five percent
of his class with an impressive 5.052 grade point average; and
WHEREAS, Having faced the many challenges of a high school
education with success and distinction, Carlos now embarks on an
adventure into a world for which he is well prepared and which
holds countless opportunities for him; and
WHEREAS, Carlos can indeed look forward to the future with
confidence, and his family and friends are very proud of him for
his hard work and his many achievements; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
Legislature, hereby commend Carlos Cisneros Lucio Jr. on his high
school graduation and extend to him sincere best wishes in all
his endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
