SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 940
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Sam Fore Keach Jr.
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
  commemorates the life of Sam Fore Keach Jr., who died May 23,
  2017, at the age of 50; and
         WHEREAS, Sam Keach was born on January 1, 1967, in
  Edinburg, to Sam and Vicki Keach; he graduated from Robstown High
  School and Southwest Texas State University, and he was a proud
  Eagle Scout; and
         WHEREAS, He married Kristy Champagne on July 17, 1993; the
  couple was blessed with two daughters, Katelyn and Kailey, who
  were a source of much pride and joy for him; and
         WHEREAS, He worked at Brooks Ranch as ranch manager and
  served as assistant chief of the Swinney Switch Volunteer Fire
  Department; he was active in a wide range of community
  organizations and served on the Live Oak County Fair Board and
  the George West Independent School District School Board; and
         WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, he
  gave unselfishly to others, and his generous spirit and
  enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest will not be
  forgotten; and
         WHEREAS, He was a devoted son, brother, husband, and
  father, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured
  forever by his family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of Sam Fore Keach Jr.; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Sam Fore Keach Jr.
