Tony DeMaria | ||
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and | ||
commemorates the life of Tony DeMaria, who died September 3, | ||
2021, at the age of 88; and | ||
WHEREAS, A man of wisdom, courage, and devotion to duty, | ||
this esteemed veteran was a treasured member of the Montgomery | ||
County community; and | ||
WHEREAS, Tony DeMaria was born to Pete and Fena DeMaria in | ||
1933; he served with distinction for 38 years as a member of the | ||
United States Army, the United States Air Force, and the United | ||
States Army Reserve; he served his country during the Korean War, | ||
the Vietnam War, and Operation Desert Storm and was noted for his | ||
talent as an aircraft mechanic and refueler; he also enjoyed a | ||
career in the private sector as an aircraft mechanic at Hooks | ||
Airport in Tomball for many years; and | ||
WHEREAS, Tony was the devoted father of two daughters, | ||
Stacy DeMaria and Dana Hoffart; he was blessed with two | ||
grandsons, Ryan and Preston Hoffart, and he cherished time spent | ||
cheering for them at baseball games; and | ||
WHEREAS, Tony DeMaria enjoyed being outdoors and watching | ||
the Dallas Cowboys and was noted for his deep love of country; he | ||
was beloved by family and friends for his generous heart, his | ||
strong character, and his great smile, and he leaves behind | ||
memories that will long be cherished by all who were privileged | ||
to share in his life; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th | ||
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby extend sincere condolences | ||
to the bereaved family of Tony DeMaria; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas | ||
Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in | ||
memory of Tony DeMaria. | ||
