R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Saad Nadeem celebrated a significant milestone in
  his life in May 2023, when he graduated from the University of
  Houston; and
         WHEREAS, Demonstrating impressive commitment to his studies,
  Mr. Nadeem graduated with a triple major in health, human nutrition
  and foods, and exercise science and a triple minor in biology,
  business administration, and management and leadership;
  furthermore, he maintained a 4.0 grade point average while managing
  his challenging course load, and he was one of eight students from
  the College of Education recognized as "banner bearers" at the
  commencement ceremony for their high GPAs; and
         WHEREAS, Among his many other accolades, Mr. Nadeem has been
  honored with the university's Dean's Award, Legacy Award, and
  Global Citizens Credential; he is also a recipient of the
  President's Volunteer Service Award gold medallion; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Nadeem was born in Pakistan, and he immigrated
  to the United States with his family at the age of 5; he grew up in
  Clear Lake and earned two associate's degrees at San Jacinto
  College while in high school; a first-generation college graduate,
  he has been accepted to a Texas medical school and plans to become a
  doctor; and
         WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this
  outstanding young man, and it is a pleasure to join his family and
  friends in recognizing him as he embarks on a future bright with
  promise; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature
  hereby congratulate Saad Nadeem on his graduation from the
  University of Houston and extend to him sincere best wishes for
  continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Nadeem as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  Senate.
