WHEREAS, Saad Nadeem celebrated a significant milestone in | ||
his life in May 2023, when he graduated from the University of | ||
Houston; and | ||
WHEREAS, Demonstrating impressive commitment to his studies, | ||
Mr. Nadeem graduated with a triple major in health, human nutrition | ||
and foods, and exercise science and a triple minor in biology, | ||
business administration, and management and leadership; | ||
furthermore, he maintained a 4.0 grade point average while managing | ||
his challenging course load, and he was one of eight students from | ||
the College of Education recognized as "banner bearers" at the | ||
commencement ceremony for their high GPAs; and | ||
WHEREAS, Among his many other accolades, Mr. Nadeem has been | ||
honored with the university's Dean's Award, Legacy Award, and | ||
Global Citizens Credential; he is also a recipient of the | ||
President's Volunteer Service Award gold medallion; and | ||
WHEREAS, Mr. Nadeem was born in Pakistan, and he immigrated | ||
to the United States with his family at the age of 5; he grew up in | ||
Clear Lake and earned two associate's degrees at San Jacinto | ||
College while in high school; a first-generation college graduate, | ||
he has been accepted to a Texas medical school and plans to become a | ||
doctor; and | ||
WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this | ||
outstanding young man, and it is a pleasure to join his family and | ||
friends in recognizing him as he embarks on a future bright with | ||
promise; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature | ||
hereby congratulate Saad Nadeem on his graduation from the | ||
University of Houston and extend to him sincere best wishes for | ||
continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Mr. Nadeem as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
Senate. |
