R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Erby
  Glenn Eikner of Tyler, who passed away on October 28, 2022, at the
  age of 73; and
         WHEREAS, A native of Tyler, Erby Eikner was born on
  October 14, 1949, to Erby and Brownie Gertrude Eikner; he graduated
  from John Tyler High School and attended Stephen F. Austin State
  University, where he received his bachelor of business
  administration degree; he went on to enjoy a rewarding career as
  business manager of Maddox Air Conditioning and retired after 32
  years of service; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Eikner gave back to his community through his
  active involvement in the Tyler-Rose City Kiwanis Club; as a member
  of the Kiwanis, he held many roles at the local, division, district,
  and international levels of the organization; he also served as
  president of the board of directors at Camp Tyler, an outdoor
  learning program for youth, and volunteered his time at St. Mary
  Magdalene Catholic Church's food pantry; and
         WHEREAS, Deeply devoted to his family, Mr. Eikner enjoyed the
  love and support of his wife, Francine, their two children,
  Stephanie and Matthew, and their grandchildren and
  great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Erby Eikner led a rich and purposeful life centered
  around his family and his community, and he will forever be
  remembered with great admiration and affection by all who were
  fortunate enough to know him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature
  hereby pay tribute to the memory of Erby Glenn Eikner and extend
  sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, Francine
  Eikner; to his daughter, Stephanie Lassanske, and her husband, Tom;
  to his son, Matthew Eikner, and his wife, Tammy; to his brother,
  Conny Eikner, and his wife, Mary; to his grandchildren and
  great-grandchildren; and to his many other relatives and friends;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this
  day, it do so in memory of Erby Eikner.
