| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize Antonio C. Luna, who is retiring July 31, 2013, from | ||
| the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts after 31 years | ||
| of outstanding service to the state; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Over the course of his career in state service, | ||
| Mr. Luna has held a variety of important positions, and he is | ||
| retiring as an Audit Division manager; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure with the state, he has been | ||
| noted for his superior organizational skills and auditing | ||
| expertise; he established relationships with universities and | ||
| colleges across the state and played an important role in | ||
| recruiting numerous auditors to state service; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, Mr. Luna has handled | ||
| his many responsibilities with exceptional efficiency and | ||
| dedication; he served on the Audit Division's Management and | ||
| Advisory Committee, where his extensive knowledge and experience | ||
| have played a vital role in guiding the agency; and | ||
| WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, he is respected and | ||
| admired by his colleagues, and his presence at the Office of the | ||
| Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd | ||
| Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Antonio C. Luna | ||
| on his exceptional service to the people of Texas as an employee | ||
| of the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts and extend to | ||
| him best wishes for continued success in all his endeavors; and, | ||
| be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
