Carol M. Eddleman | ||
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the | ||
citizens of San Antonio in mourning the loss of Carol M. | ||
Eddleman, who died June 2, 2011, at the age of 89; and | ||
WHEREAS, Carol Eddleman was born December 25, 1921, in | ||
Oberlin, Kansas; she graduated from Kansas State University and | ||
served her country as a hospital dietitian in the United States | ||
Army during World War II and the Korean War; and | ||
WHEREAS, She was married to the late Colonel Richard E. | ||
Eddleman, and following his retirement in 1971, the couple | ||
settled in San Antonio; and | ||
WHEREAS, Mrs. Eddleman was dedicated to her work as a | ||
homemaker and as a leader in her community; she was an active | ||
volunteer with the San Antonio Symphony and the Oakwell Branch | ||
Library, and she participated in a number of political | ||
activities; and | ||
WHEREAS, An exemplary lady, Mrs. Eddleman was respected | ||
for her many accomplishments; she was a devout Christian and a | ||
member of Windcrest Methodist Church and the Windcrest Women's | ||
Club; and | ||
WHEREAS, A woman of integrity, strength, and generosity, | ||
she gave unselfishly to others, and she leaves behind memories | ||
that will be treasured forever by her family and many friends; | ||
now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd | ||
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby extend sincere | ||
condolences to the bereaved family of Carol M. Eddleman: her | ||
daughters, Ann Charlotte Ramert and Margaret Julia Imlay; her | ||
son, John Tudor Eddleman; and her three grandchildren; and, be it | ||
further | ||
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas | ||
Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in | ||
memory of Carol Eddleman. | ||
