| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize the Carroll Independent School District for its | ||
| exemplary support of Rachel's Challenge Relay for Life; and | ||
| WHEREAS, More than 1,200 people participated in the | ||
| district's fourth annual Rachel's Challenge Relay for Life, and | ||
| the event raised more than $120,000 for American Cancer Society | ||
| funding for research and relief for cancer patients; and | ||
| WHEREAS, | ||
| WHEREAS, Participants in the Carroll Independent School | ||
| District event included students of all ages, from elementary | ||
| school to graduating seniors, as well as the district's staff and | ||
| members of the community, all of whom came together on behalf of | ||
| cancer patients; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd | ||
| Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend the Carroll | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| the district as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
