| Kenneth Joseph Pare | ||
| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and | ||
| commemorates the life of Kenneth Joseph Pare, who died June 10, | ||
| 2013, at the age of 48; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Ken Pare was born November 6, 1964, at Offutt Air | ||
| Force Base in Nebraska; he graduated from Kadena High School in | ||
| Okinawa and went on to earn a bachelor's degree from Texas | ||
| Christian University and a master of business administration | ||
| degree from Thomas More College; and | ||
| WHEREAS, He served the nation with distinction as an | ||
| officer with the United States Army; his service included a 1991 | ||
| tour of duty in Iraq during Operation Desert Storm; and | ||
| WHEREAS, He enjoyed a successful 20-year career with | ||
| Fidelity Investments, where his professionalism, loyalty, and | ||
| respect for others served as an example to his colleagues and | ||
| clients; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, he | ||
| gave unselfishly to others, and his warmth, kindness, and | ||
| enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest will not be | ||
| forgotten; and | ||
| WHEREAS, He was devoted to his daughter, Valerie, and to | ||
| his loving extended family, and he leaves behind memories that | ||
| will be treasured forever by his family and many friends; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd | ||
| Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby extend sincere | ||
| condolences to the bereaved family of Kenneth Joseph Pare; and, | ||
| be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas | ||
| Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in | ||
| memory of Ken Pare. | ||
