SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 5
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Kenneth Joseph Pare
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
  commemorates the life of Kenneth Joseph Pare, who died June 10,
  2013, at the age of 48; and
         WHEREAS, Ken Pare was born November 6, 1964, at Offutt Air
  Force Base in Nebraska; he graduated from Kadena High School in
  Okinawa and went on to earn a bachelor's degree from Texas
  Christian University and a master of business administration
  degree from Thomas More College; and
         WHEREAS, He served the nation with distinction as an
  officer with the United States Army; his service included a 1991
  tour of duty in Iraq during Operation Desert Storm; and
         WHEREAS, He enjoyed a successful 20-year career with
  Fidelity Investments, where his professionalism, loyalty, and
  respect for others served as an example to his colleagues and
  clients; and
         WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, he
  gave unselfishly to others, and his warmth, kindness, and
  enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest will not be
  forgotten; and
         WHEREAS, He was devoted to his daughter, Valerie, and to
  his loving extended family, and he leaves behind memories that
  will be treasured forever by his family and many friends; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby extend sincere
  condolences to the bereaved family of Kenneth Joseph Pare; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Ken Pare.
