| WHEREAS, High school graduation is one of life's pivotal | ||
| milestones, and Peter Thomas Scarborough participated in that | ||
| joyful occasion with his graduation from Stephen F. Austin High | ||
| School in Austin on May 30, 2023; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Although the members of the Class of 2023 will soon | ||
| go their separate ways, the time that they have shared at Austin | ||
| High has created a lasting bond, and the knowledge and experiences | ||
| that Mr. Scarborough has gained there will forever enrich his life; | ||
| and | ||
| WHEREAS, The son of John and Andrea Scarborough, Peter | ||
| Scarborough was a member of the golf team at Austin High, and he | ||
| received an academic all-state award; he further distinguished | ||
| himself through his involvement with the National Honor Society and | ||
| Link Crew; he plans to continue his education at the University of | ||
| Richmond; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this | ||
| outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join his family and | ||
| friends in recognizing him as he embarks on a future bright with | ||
| promise; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature, 1st | ||
| Called Session, hereby congratulate Peter Thomas Scarborough on the | ||
| occasion of his high school graduation and extend to him sincere | ||
| best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Scarborough as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas Senate. | ||
