SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 389
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Richard and Cody Morris and their family-owned
company, Clear Creek Heat and Air, which was recently honored as
the 2016 Business of the Year by the Marquez Area Chamber of
Commerce; and
WHEREAS, Richard "Sunshine" Morris founded Clear Creek
Heat and Air, and his son Cody Morris later joined the business as
a co-owner; the company has been serving the Marquez area
full-time for about 13 years; and
WHEREAS, Clear Creek Heat and Air has been an indispensable
asset to the community; Sunshine and Cody have developed a
reputation for integrity in their business practices and for
providing quality, dependable service to their customers; their
family company has helped the local economy to thrive; and
WHEREAS, Sunshine and Cody Morris are respected and
admired members of the community, and they are models of success
for other locally owned businesses in the region; Clear Creek
Heat and Air was honored as the Business of the Year at the annual
Marquez Area Chamber of Commerce Banquet on February 4, 2017;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
Legislature, hereby commend Richard and Cody Morris for their
many contributions to the community and extend congratulations
to them on the selection of Clear Creek Heat and Air as the 2016
Business of the Year by the Marquez Area Chamber of Commerce;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
the company as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
