| WHEREAS, | ||
| WHEREAS, This illustrious charter school in Humble has | ||
| created an exciting tradition with its annual presentations | ||
| commemorating the history of African Americans; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The program illuminates the contributions and | ||
| achievements of prominent African Americans throughout this | ||
| country's history; titled Liberty and Justice for All, the | ||
| production this year will feature a variety of student talent and | ||
| guest presentations; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This special event encourages pupils to strive | ||
| toward academic excellence and serves as an affirmation of and | ||
| reinforcement for at-risk youth in the inner city; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Northwest Preparatory Academy is a widely | ||
| respected charter school in the Houston area; it is known for its | ||
| deep commitment to quality education and social enhancement | ||
| programs such as the Liberty and Justice for All production; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd | ||
| Legislature, hereby commend Northwest Preparatory Academy | ||
| Charter School; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| the school as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate. | ||
