SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 276
	WHEREAS,
	WHEREAS, This illustrious charter school in Humble has
	created an exciting tradition with its annual presentations
	commemorating the history of African Americans; and
	WHEREAS, The program illuminates the contributions and
	achievements of prominent African Americans throughout this
	country's history; titled Liberty and Justice for All, the
	production this year will feature a variety of student talent and
	guest presentations; and
	WHEREAS, This special event encourages pupils to strive
	toward academic excellence and serves as an affirmation of and
	reinforcement for at-risk youth in the inner city; and
	WHEREAS, Northwest Preparatory Academy is a widely
	respected charter school in the Houston area; it is known for its
	deep commitment to quality education and social enhancement
	programs such as the Liberty and Justice for All production; now,
	therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
	Legislature, hereby commend Northwest Preparatory Academy
	Charter School; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
	the school as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
