| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize the Houston Chapter of the Asian Real Estate | ||
| Association of America; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The Asian Real Estate Association of America is a | ||
| nonprofit trade organization dedicated to connecting and | ||
| supporting real estate professionals in the Asian American | ||
| Pacific Islander community and seeks to promote home ownership | ||
| and property investment for Asian Americans and Pacific | ||
| Islanders; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The association, which comprises 45 chapters with | ||
| 18,000 members in the United States and Canada, is the largest | ||
| real estate trade organization representing the Asian American | ||
| Pacific Islander population; it facilitates partnership and | ||
| communication among professionals in real estate and | ||
| business-related companies to best serve the AAPI community; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The Houston Chapter of the Asian Real Estate | ||
| Association of America provides critical social and business | ||
| opportunities that support the AAPI community of professionals | ||
| and home buyers, and the organization's efforts contribute to the | ||
| economic health of the entire Houston community; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The Houston chapter continues to be a leader in | ||
| the areas of business initiatives, real estate policies, | ||
| professional development, and community outreach and serves as a | ||
| source of advocacy and empowerment for its members in its mission | ||
| to create sustainable home ownership and property investment | ||
| opportunities; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th | ||
| Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend the Houston | ||
| Chapter of the Asian Real Estate Association of America on its | ||
| valuable contributions to the Houston community and extend to its | ||
| leadership and members best wishes for continued success in their | ||
| endeavors; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| the chapter as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
