| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize Sammy L. Carolina and Dyveonne R. "Dee" Carolina on the | ||
| grand occasion of their 21st wedding anniversary on July 8, 2013; | ||
| and | ||
| WHEREAS, Sammy and Dyveonne were married in Baytown, | ||
| Harris County, Texas, on July 8, 1992, by the Honorable Tony | ||
| Polumbo, justice of the peace of Precinct 3-2; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Both Sammy and Dyveonne are admired and respected | ||
| by their community and are noted for their outstanding and | ||
| invaluable community service; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Over the years, their devotion to each other has | ||
| only grown stronger as they have experienced the joys and sorrows | ||
| of everyday living and have thrived in their fulfilling life | ||
| together; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Sammy and Dyveonne have been blessed with a | ||
| wonderful family, and they take much pride in their daughter, | ||
| Germaintrel LaQuan Smith, son-in-law, Robert E. Lee Smith, and | ||
| grandson, Bryson L. Smith; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Sammy and Dyveonne are known for their strong | ||
| faith and religious beliefs and for their deep love of one | ||
| another, and their long and happy union is truly an inspiration | ||
| to us all; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in | ||
| their lives. | ||
