| WHEREAS, Dr. Joe Daniel Nichols Jr. retired from Genesis | ||
| PrimeCare Ellington Memorial Clinic on August 31, 2022; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Dan Nichols graduated with honors from the | ||
| University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine | ||
| in 1966, and he went on to enjoy an exemplary medical career that | ||
| spanned more than five decades; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A family practice specialist, Dr. Nichols served | ||
| the Atlanta, Texas, community with great distinction through the | ||
| years; he was affiliated with a number of area hospitals, including | ||
| Wadley Regional Medical Center and the Christus St. Michael Health | ||
| System, as well as with many other doctors and specialists at East | ||
| Texas Border Health Clinic; and | ||
| WHEREAS, For more than half a century, Dr. Dan Nichols | ||
| provided skilled and compassionate care to his patients, and he may | ||
| indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent as he begins the | ||
| next exciting chapter of his life; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature | ||
| hereby congratulate Dr. Joe Daniel Nichols Jr. on his retirement | ||
| from Genesis PrimeCare Ellington Memorial Clinic and extend to him | ||
| sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Dr. Nichols as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas Senate. | ||
