| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize Executive Chief Deputy Robert Allen Knowles on his | ||
| distinguished career in law enforcement and his most recent | ||
| successful facilities certification; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Robert Knowles began his career in 1974 serving | ||
| with the Dallas County Sheriff's Office; his management skills | ||
| and steadfast work ethic were quickly recognized, and he was | ||
| promoted to captain in 1978; and | ||
| WHEREAS, | ||
| WHEREAS, Over the course of his long career, Chief Deputy | ||
| Knowles has overseen the design, development, and implementation | ||
| WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure, Chief Deputy Knowles has | ||
| been recognized for expertise in his field on both state and | ||
| national levels; in 1985, he earned national recognition and | ||
| received the Howard B. Gill Award from the American Jail | ||
| Association as the Correctional Administrator of the Year; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Nearly 40 years of outstanding service have | ||
| earned this distinguished officer the respect and admiration of | ||
| his peers; it is truly fitting that he be recognized for his | ||
| notable contributions to his field; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
