| religious services of religious organizations. | ||
| BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Article I, Texas Constitution, is amended by | ||
| adding Section 6-a to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 6-a. This state or a political subdivision of this | ||
| state may not enact, adopt, or issue a statute, order, | ||
| proclamation, decision, or rule that prohibits or limits religious | ||
| services, including religious services conducted in churches, | ||
| congregations, and places of worship, in this state by a religious | ||
| organization established to support and serve the propagation of a | ||
| sincerely held religious belief. | ||
| SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be | ||
| submitted to the voters at an election to be held November 2, 2021. | ||
| The ballot shall be printed to permit voting for or against the | ||
| proposition: "The constitutional amendment to prohibit this state | ||
| or a political subdivision of this state from prohibiting or | ||
| limiting religious services of religious organizations." | ||
