| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 43, Election Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 43.008 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 43.008. CAMPUS POLLING PLACE. The commissioners court | ||
| of a county shall designate as a polling place a location on the | ||
| main campus of an institution of higher education as defined by | ||
| Section 61.003, Education Code, located within the county if at | ||
| least 10,000 students are enrolled in the institution. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | ||
