| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 6.412(c), Tax Code, is amended to read as | ||
| follows: | ||
| (c) Except as otherwise provided by this subsection, a [ |
||
| person is ineligible to serve on the appraisal review board if the | ||
| person is a member of the board of directors, [ |
||
| employee of the appraisal district, an employee of the comptroller, | ||
| or a member of the governing body, officer, or employee of a taxing | ||
| unit. A person employed by a school district as a teacher may serve | ||
| on the appraisal review board. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect on the 91st day after the | ||
| last day of the legislative session. | ||
