materials used by state agencies. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 656, Government Code, is | ||
amended by adding Section 656.056 to read as follows: | ||
Sec. 656.056. LEGISLATIVE ACCESS TO TRAINING MATERIALS. A | ||
state agency shall make available to members of the legislature the | ||
training materials it provides to agency employees, including | ||
presentation slides, memoranda, videos, and other materials. With | ||
each set of training materials, the agency shall include: | ||
(1) a brief description of the purpose of the | ||
training; | ||
(2) to whom the training is provided; | ||
(3) how often the training is provided; | ||
(4) whether the training is mandatory or voluntary; | ||
and | ||
(5) whether the training materials were created by the | ||
state agency and, if not, the source of the materials. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
