in Bexar County. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 52.044, Government Code, is amended by | ||
adding Subsection (e) to read as follows: | ||
(e) Notwithstanding any other provision of this section, a | ||
full-time magistrate, full-time associate judge, or full-time | ||
master in Bexar County may appoint an official court reporter to | ||
serve that magistrate, associate judge, or master, as applicable. | ||
The reporter is a sworn officer of the court who holds office at the | ||
pleasure of the magistrate, associate judge, or master, as | ||
applicable, who appointed the reporter. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
