| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Chapter 544, Transportation Code, is amended by | ||
| adding Section 544.0101 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 544.0101. SIGNAGE FOR LOW-WATER CROSSING. (a) The | ||
| manual adopted under Section 544.001 must include provisions for | ||
| the design and installation of a uniform low-water crossing sign to | ||
| be used at low-water crossings in this state. | ||
| (b) The department or a local authority is not required to | ||
| replace low-water crossing signs placed before January 1, 2012. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. | ||
