| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 42.0421, Human Resources Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Subsection (g-1) to read as follows: | ||
| (g-1) Notwithstanding Subsection (g), a person who is the | ||
| director of a day-care center may provide training under this | ||
| section regardless of whether the commission imposed an | ||
| administrative penalty under Section 42.078 against the day-care | ||
| center if the person was not the director of the day-care center at | ||
| the time the commission imposed the penalty. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. | ||
