| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 124.002, Government Code, is amended by | ||
| adding Subsection (c-1) to read as follows: | ||
| (c-1) The commissioners court of a county may designate a | ||
| justice of the peace court within the county to operate a veterans | ||
| treatment court program established under this chapter. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. | ||
