	R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The library at Ford Elementary School in Georgetown
	was awarded first place in the Fall 2012 Scholastic Book Fairs
	National Elementary School Contest; and
	WHEREAS, Libraries were judged on the originality and
	creativity of their efforts to promote the book fair as well as on
	their work to increase interest in books and reading; as the winner,
	the Ford Library receives a $2,000 credit to purchase items from the
	Scholastic Resource Catalog and also the opportunity to host a
	personal appearance by Dav Pilkey, a celebrated author and
	illustrator of children's literature; and
	WHEREAS, The dedicated staff of the Ford Elementary School
	Library are helping to instill a love of learning in young children,
	and their invaluable efforts represent a vital investment in the
	building of tomorrow's leaders; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
	Legislature hereby congratulate the Ford Elementary School Library
	on earning first place in the Fall 2012 Scholastic Book Fairs
	National Elementary School Contest and extend to the library's
	staff sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for the library as an expression of high regard by the
	Texas House of Representatives.
