WHEREAS, Elizabeth Hines of Jack County 4-H was named the | ||
recipient of a 2017 4-H Gold Star Award; and | ||
WHEREAS, First presented in 1933, the Gold Star Award was | ||
created to recognize the hard work of exemplary 4-H members; it is | ||
the highest county-level achievement prize conferred by 4-H; and | ||
WHEREAS, To qualify for the Gold Star Award, members must | ||
demonstrate leadership ability and participate in one or more | ||
community service initiatives; in addition, they are required to | ||
belong to 4-H for a minimum of three years, to complete projects in | ||
three different areas of emphasis, and to participate in a variety | ||
of activities; and | ||
WHEREAS, Through her hard work and commitment to excellence, | ||
Elizabeth Hines has brought great credit to her 4-H club, and she | ||
may indeed look forward to a future bright with promise; now, | ||
therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby congratulate Elizabeth Hines of Jack County 4-H | ||
on her receipt of a 4-H Gold Star Award and extend to her sincere | ||
best wishes for continued success; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Ms. Hines as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
House of Representatives. | ||
