R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Tony and Margaret Balios of Lubbock celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on March 4, 2011, and they may indeed
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
and
WHEREAS, Tony Balios and the former Margaret Louise Dunn
exchanged the vows of matrimony at a ceremony held in Lubbock in
1961, and over the course of their marriage, they have found in each
other a loving life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Balios count among their blessings a
fine family that includes four children, Jacinda Balios, Melissa
Corbitt and her husband, Mike, Jay A. Balios, Jr., and Angela Witt
and her husband, James, as well as four grandchildren, with whom
they share the many special occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, For half a century, Tony and Margaret Balios have
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Tony and Margaret Balios on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Balios as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
